"O McLaren 650S da K-PAX Racing está competitivo, mas temos que melhorar um bocadinho a frente, que esta a fugir um pouco. O circuito é muito pequeno, portanto, os tempos vão ser muito próximos.

A qualificação será muito importante e espero efectuar um bom tempo. Depois vamos ver como corre a corrida.

The K-PAX Racing’s McLaren 650S is competitive, but it is understeering and we have improve it a bit. The circuit is small, so the laptimes will be very tight.

The qualifying will be very important and I hope to get a good laptime. Afterwards we will see how the race goes."

Na corrida de hoje, sábado, a segunda etapa do Pirelli World Challenge, Álvaro Parente no McLaren 650S terminou no segundo lugar e Michael Lewis Porsche 911 GT3 R

Foi um bom resultado!
A meio da corrida começamos a sentir muita degradação nos pneus e não pudemos manter a pressão ao primeiro.
Vamos tentar melhorar o McLaren 650S para amanhã para tentarmos ser ainda mais competitivos.
Arrancarei para a segunda corrida do segundo lugar da grelha de partida.

It was a good result!
From the middle of the race onward we had a big degradation on the tires and we couldn’t keep with the leader.
We’re going to try and do a little better on the set up for tomorrow.
I’ll start the second race from second.

Hoje foi um dia difícil… Com muitas contrariedades… 

Abandonámos mas saímos de St. Petersburg com a certeza de que somos competitivos, depois do pódio de ontem.
Agora é trabalhar para regressarmos em Long Beach igualmente competitivos.

Today it was a tough day… With so many adversities…
We retired, but we leave St. Petersburg with the certainty that we are competitive, after yesterday’s podium.
Now, we have to keep working to return at Long Beach as competitive.

These days LADA SPORT ROSNEFT drivers Gabriele Tarquini, Nick Catsburg and Hugo Valente take part in the tests of LADA Vesta at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal

The Russian WTCC squad spent three days (6-8 March) at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal, conducting tests of the updated LADA Vesta TC1 ahead of the FIA WTCC 2016 season. Team drivers Gabriele Tarquini, Nick Catsburg and Hugo Valente extracted the maximum from the dry warm weather lapping consistently over the three days, gaining a better understanding of a renewed version of the Vesta TC1

Quanto a corridas….

…..entre outras ficamos a saber que a FIA recusou a proposta do Eurosport Events para que a Rotunda da MCoutinho fosse utilizada por ambos os lados na corrida do Campeonato do Mundo FIA de Carros de Turismo (WTCC). Uma noticia já confirmada por François Ribeiro á inovação que o Luso francês gostaria de ver implementada em Vila Real.

O Pedro Botelho continua a evoluir o Mini

e Luís Costa que este ano irá partilhar o volante do Datsun 1200 de Nuno Soares.

E o Zeca Balsa está a fazer todos os esforços para que o o Ford Cortina esteja pronto para ir a Jarama ao "Historic Endurance" nos dias 1,2 e 3 de Abril com o Paulo Hortas.

Tivemos alguns problemas nos treinos-livres com a ECU e mal pudemos sair para a pista.

Para qualificação a K-PAX Racing resolveu os problemas, o que me permitiu conquistar o 4º lugar.

É uma boa posição para a corrida desta tarde que terá início às 20h30 (Hora de Portugal) e pode ser seguida em directo através do link mais abaixo.

We had some troubles with the ECU in the practice and we couldn’t do any flying lap.

For the qualifying K-PAX Racing solved the problems and I was P4.

Foi uma corrida muito difícil. O arranque e o recomeço, depois do Safety-Car, não me correram bem e perdi lugares. Ainda consegui recuperar uma posição e terminei no sexto posto, um resultado que pode ser importante para o futuro.

It was a really tough race. The start and the restart, after the Safety-Car, didn’t go my way and I lost some positions. I was able to recover a place and I ended sixth, which is a result that can be very important in the future.

"A corrida de hoje foi muito estranha e quando podia ficar em 2º, fui penalizado não sei porquê. Fiz uma ultrapassagem limpa e fui penalizado por isso com uma passagem pelas boxes. Acabei em 8º.
Não estou nada satisfeito com esta situação. Quero agradecer à K-PAX Racing pelo apoio.

Today’s race was very strange and when I could be 2nd, I was penalized with a drive through. I did a clean overtake and I was penalized.
I was 8th in the flag.

ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport continues WTCC adventure

German squad ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport has renewed its commitment to the FIA World Touring Car Championship by confirming its participation in all rounds of the 2016 season.

Team founder René Münnich will pilot the outfit’s Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1, while a replacement driver will called up in case of any schedule clashes and any driver announcements will be made a later stage.

Münnich, whose most recent WTCC campaign was in 2014, spent 2015 competing in the FIA World Rallycross Championship. He was on track during both days of the recent official WTCC test in Vallelunga.
